More rain and storms for our Monday
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Happy Monday! A tropical wave near the Florida panhandle will keep numerous rain and storms in the forecast on our Monday. Most of the storms will fire up during the afternoon hours. Highs on our Monday will be in the upper-80s. Due to the moisture content associated with the wave, scattered showers will continue into the overnight hours. Temperatures will drop into the low-70s by Tuesday morning.
Periods of rain and storms will continue into our Tuesday and Wednesday as highs stay in the mid-80s. Morning lows will be in the low-70s. Rain chances finally look to go down a bit heading into Thursday, but scattered showers and storms will still be possible. Highs on Thursday will climb back to around 90 degrees as morning lows stay in the low-70s.
Rain chances will continue to decrease as we head into the weekend. We’ll see partly cloudy skies on our Friday with a chance of scattered showers and storms during the afternoon. Highs on Friday will be in the low-90s. Saturday and Sunday will feature a chance of isolated showers and storms, but most of the weekend will be dry. High temperatures on Saturday will climb into the mid-90s, making it the warmest day of the next seven. Highs on Sunday will be in the low-90s.
