Gov. tests negative for COVID-19 after positive tests within House

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves says he and his family tested negative for COVID-19.

Reeves said he was tested after coming into contact with a local lawmaker who tested positive. Sunday, several members of the Mississippi House were confirmed positive for COVID-19, including Speaker Phillip Gunn.

Reeves had been isolating while waiting for the results of his test. He says he will host a press briefing at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
