Union’s J.T. Vance signs to play baseball at East Central

UNION, Miss. (WTOK) - Union graduate J.T. Vance has signed to continue his baseball career at the next level.

Vance, who started five of six years playing for the Yellowjackets, signed his National Letter of Intent on Monday to play next year at East Central Community College.

A two-time All-District selection, Vance had a stellar junior season both on the mound and at the plate.

In his junior season, Vance had a .435 batting average with 10 doubles and two home runs. At the mound, he was 2-0 with 33 strikeouts and a 3.45 ERA.

Vance also played on the boys’ basketball team.
