MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - It's that time of year when motorcyclists rev up their engines and ride to remember the victims of the 2003 Lockheed shooting.

The motorcycle parade Saturday will be led by the Queen City Cruisers. Lineup begins at 11 am at Lockheed Martin. From there, riders will travel through Meridian on 22nd avenue, with the final destination being Forest Lawn Cemetery. Stacey Miller lost her father in the tragedy.

“We’ve been doing it for about eight years now. It’s a time for the community to get involved. They can see the different kinds of motorcycles. This is important to the family. We are thankful for the forest Lawn Memorial who hosts every year. At the conclusion of the ride, the family will have a private moment at the burial site,” said Stacey

Miller said the bike ride serves as a reminder that this community can overcome any tragedy. It also wraps up Reconciliation Week, which is spearheaded by the Miller family.
