Storm chances increase slightly on our Tuesday
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Happy Tuesday! We look to see partly cloudy skies on our Tuesday with a chance of scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. Rain chances will be slightly higher than compared to yesterday, but many of us will still remain dry. Highs on our Tuesday will be in the mid-90s with heat index values as high as 103. Partly cloudy skies will continue into the overnight hours with isolated showers possible. Most of the overnight time frame is dry. Morning lows by Wednesday will be in the mid-70s.
Storm chances will increase once again on our Wednesday along with the heat. Scattered showers and storms will be more widespread than Monday and Tuesday, but still not everyone is going to see that rainfall on Wednesday. Before any storms roll through, highs on Wednesday will be in the mid-90s with heat index values as high as 107. Storm chances will decrease heading into our day on Thursday as highs also drop into the low-90s. Heat index values will still top out around 103 Thursday afternoon. Friday will feature partly cloudy skies with a chance of scattered showers and storms in the afternoon. Heat index values will top out around 105 on Friday.
Dew points will lower a bit heading into the weekend, but rising air temperatures will still keep heat index values in the triple digits. High temperatures this weekend will be in the mid-to-upper-90s with heat index values topping out around 103. Isolated showers and storms will be possible each afternoon, but most of the weekend will be dry. Isolated shower and storm chances will continue into our day Monday as highs stay in the mid-to-upper-90s. Heat index values will top out around 105 Monday afternoon.
