MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Stormy skies delivered with some rain for a lot of us on our Tuesday, but still a lot of areas stayed dry. Some drying is on the way, but first we will get one more overall rainy day.

Showers and heavy storms will linger this evening. There will be dry spots, too. A few showers will be possible through the night. The low temperature by morning will be near 73 degrees. Wednesday will be partly to mostly cloudy with scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. Some storms can be heavy. The high temperature will be as a high as 88 degrees, but some areas may not warm quite that much depending on when the rain starts.

Rain will ease back on Thursday and Friday. There will still be some showers around. They just won’t be as widespread or as common, so the odds of you seeing rain at your home are lower. A quick-moving disturbance will track across Mississippi and Alabama on Saturday and give us another overall rainy day before the drying and warming trend resumes Sunday through Tuesday.
