DEKALB, Miss. (WTOK) - Kemper County deputies were led on a high-speed chase around 2:00 a.m. Wednesday.

Sheriff James Moore says it all began in the town of DeKalb when Zachary Bourrage, 48, refused to pull over.

Moore says Bourrage drove at speeds in excess of 120 mph down Highway 39 S. into Lauderdale County. The suspect turned around just before entering the city limits of Meridian.

The chase was brought to an end by Kemper County deputies in the town of DeKalb 34 minutes after it began.

Authorities say Bourrage had a felony warrant through the Kemper County Sheriff’s Department. He is now charged with two counts of fleeing and eluding.
