LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Miss. (WTOK) - Ag students at West Lauderdale High School have built several hand sanitizing stands.

These stands will be distributed all around the football field, including at the concession stands and the bathrooms. Students we spoke to say that they were able to cut, weld, and paint the stands in under an hour. Students also say that having the sanitizer stands at the football games will help stop the spread of the coronavirus, which will help keep the football season going.

“People need to stay safe and you know, we want to play football games, we want to be able to get out and play,” said student Cade Sharron. “And if this is what it takes to be able to play, then we’re absolutely willing to do it.”

“This is important because we can play football, keep people coming, and it keep allowing us to have games,” said student Logan Johnson.

The hand sanitizing stands will also be used at the football field at Northeast Lauderdale High School.
