Graveside service for Robert “Bobby” Robinson will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Dr. Dan Lanier officiating, burial to follow. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Mr. Robert J. “Bobby” Robinson, age 89, of Meridian passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson.

He was a combat veteran of the Korean War, who served with 8 th army, 10 th corp., and the 79 th engineers. He fought in the landing at Inchon and with the 1 st Marine Division on the eastern flank of the Chosin Reservoir, eventually making it to the Hungnam beachhead. He was a proud member of the “Chosin Few” and always cherished his annual reunions with his brothers in arms.

Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He lived his life as an example for others to follow. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all that knew him.

Survivors include his son, Mark Robinson (Michelle); grandchildren, Stephanie Hamilton (Sage) and Caleb Banks; special brother and sister-in-law, Lamar and Daphne Moore; special niece and nephew, Heather Smith (Jason) and Houston Moore (Kasey); numerous great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Moore Robinson; son, Robert L. Robinson; parents, Coleman and Mildred Robinson; and his 9 siblings.
