MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - You have a passion for news. You want to tell great stories. Your desire is to be a newsroom leader and shape the future of broadcast journalism. You need to be a news anchor and part of the best management team at WTOK-TV in Meridian, Mississippi.

WTOK-TV needs a 6 & 10 anchor who can step up and shoot a story, jump on the digital desk and assist the team as we produce stories on multiple platforms. We are an award-winning team that strives for writing excellence, powerful video, great graphics and highly produced shows. You will also be required to post stories to digital platforms and on social media.

Responsibilities not limited to:
-Must be a strong storyteller with the ability to connect to an audience.
-Must be strong at managing breaking news and severe weather coverage and be able to make sound split-second decisions during live broadcasts.
- Strong skills working with social media and gathering newsworthy content from local contacts.
-Must be able to think strategically, as well as motivate the team to execute your vision.
- Knowledge of ENPS and Edius preferred.
-Knowledge of graphics editing software a plus.
-Bachelor’s degree in journalism, broadcasting or communications is preferred, but not required
-Flexible work hours required, must be willing and able to work a variety of shifts if necessary
