DeKALB, Miss. (WTOK) - Kemper County Sheriff James Moore said a homicide happened Thursday afternoon in DeKalb.

One person is dead and one person is in custody.

According to Kemper County Coroner Terry Bostick, the victim was a 22-year-old male and his body has been transported to the medical examiner’s office in Pearl for an autopsy.

Moore said a 911 call came in around 2:30. Deputies responded to the call on Fork Avenue.
