Two arrests have been made in connection with a shooting Wednesday evening at DeVille Apartments in DeKalb. Anterrio Kevonte Madison was shot and later died of his injuries at a hospital.

Sheriff James Moore said Marcellous Montress Grady is charged with manslaughter by culpable negligence for Madison’s death. JaQuarrian LaMarcus T’Shuan Harrington is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm for shooting at Grady.

Deputies responded about 7:45 p.m. Moore said the investigation revealed that Grady had a verbal argument with Madison that escalated when Grady believed Madison was reaching for a weapon, so he pulled his gun and began shooting, striking Madison several times.

Moore said Harrington was standing next to Madison when the shooting started and began shooting his firearm at Grady.

The sheriff said 31 spent shell casings were found in the immediate area. Two buildings were struck along with three other vehicles.
