Man charged with attempted murder in Kemper County

Ladarryl Dale is accused of firing multiple times at the victim.

SCOOBA, Miss. (WTOK) - An attempted murder charge was filed against a Kemper County man Sunday.

Sheriff James Moore said Ladarryl Dale was arrested after a shooting around 4 p.m. in Scooba, in the area of Piney Woods Road at the intersection of Kemper Bell Road.

Moore said the victim was initially able to drive himself home and then someone else got him to Highway 16, where EMA picked him up. The victim is critical, according to Sheriff Moore.

Dale allegedly fired nine shots, striking the victim several times. Dale’s bond was set at $900,000.
