July 4th Celebration in Meridian is Friday
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) -
Meridian’s Annual 5th of July Celebration is set for Friday at Bonita Lakes. Gates will open at 3:30 with vendors opening at 4:00.
The official program starts at 6:30 pm with concerts featuring three entertainers beginning at 7:00.
The fireworks show begins at 9:00 with a special version of “America.”
“What you can expect tomorrow at our 4th of July celebration is a fun-filled family event,” said Terrence Davis, representing the city of Meridian.
“It’s grown each year. This year we have over 7 vendors and two clothing vendors that will be out with us and we have three entertainers. At 9:00, what everyone wants to see, our fireworks display.”
A free shuttle service will be running from Uptown Meridian Mall at the old Tuesday Morning location starting at 5:00 pm.
