Sullivan Reed Commits to Mississippi State
MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Lamar School multi-sport athlete Sullivan Reed announced his commitment to play baseball at Mississippi State University.
Reed is ranked among the top 25 recruits nationally for the class of 2027 and holds the No. 1 spot in the Magnolia State.
Reed had offers from around 30 other schools, including Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Alabama, but ultimately decided to become a Diamond Dawg.
The third baseman has a .616 batting average in his sophomore season, and this past summer, he had a .508 batting average with 14 home runs!
Reed talks about what furthering his baseball career means to him, “It’s been a dream of mine forever. And obviously, I’ve been a Mississippi State fan growing up, so it’s even cooler. I have so much support from that coaching staff and how they want me to play at Mississippi State, not only because I was a fan or anything, but because they see me as making an impact and helping them win national championships, bringing kids in, and just helping them for the future.”
Congratulations to Sullivan Reed on his commitment to Mississippi State.
