Intisar Faulkner

Intisar joined the WTOK family in 2019 as the anchor for the station’s morning show, “Good Morning Meridian.”

Intisar grew up in St. Louis, MO and attended Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. She obtained degrees in Broadcast Journalism & Political Science, and received a Masters in Communications.

Before coming to the Queen City, Intisar was a radio anchor and reporter at KTTS News in Springfield. During her time there, she covered severe flooding and tornadoes in the Ozarks, President Trump’s visits to Springfield, former Gov. Eric Greitens’ resignation, and the Dee Dee Blanchard Murder Trial.

In 2019 she won two Missouri Broadcasters Association Awards for “Best News Series” and “Breaking News Weather Coverage.”

Beyond her broadcasting achievements, Faulkner is a co-founder of the ELEVATE Women’s Empowerment Brunch, a networking event geared towards young female professionals. She is also a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists.

In her spare time, Intisar enjoys travelling, movies, and trying new foods. The spicier the better!
