Emily Erikson

News Director/Anchor
Emily Erikson

Emily Erikson is no stranger to Meridian. Emily was born and raised in East Mississippi. She grew up in Collinsville and attend West Lauderdale High School. After graduation, Emily moved to Nashville where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication at Middle Tennessee State University.

Before joining WTOK, she worked as a reporter at a local television station where she covered local government and military affairs.

Emily will anchor Newscenter 11 at 10 Monday-Friday and will also report and produce. You’ll eventually see her on the anchor desk with Lindsey Hall at 6pm and with Tom Williams at 10

When Emily’s not busy trying to get the best footage or the perfect soundbite, she can be found at home reading or listening to Metallica. (Yes, Emily is a Heavy Metal junkie!) Emily also enjoys volunteering in the community, especially at East Mississippi Animal Rescue. If you see her around, be sure to say hello! If you have a story, you can email her at Emily.Erikson@wtok.com. Emily is thrilled to be working at WTOK (the station she watched while growing up) and serving her hometown.
