TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP)-- Alabama authorities are continuing to search for a 15-foot (4.5 meter) yellow and white python on the loose in Tuscaloosa.

A city councilman said the constrictor poses a "great" threat to pets and small children.

News outlets report snake sightings on Monday and Tuesday, but police say it has evaded capture by animal control agents so far.

Agents are looking for the snake in flower beds, drainage pipes and under homes.
