Monday fire deemed suspicious by Meridian Fire Department

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Fire officials are calling yesterday's house fire in Meridian suspicious.

It happened around 4:30 Monday afternoon in the 2200 block of Shields Alley. Meridian fire investigators say evidence suggests the fire was intentionally set.

Meridian police were called to the scene after it was determined a possible burglary had occurred.

There is money up for grabs if you can provide credible information about who started this fire. The State Fire Marshal's Office has a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arson arrest. Crimestoppers also has a reward. That number is 855-485-TIPS.
