73rd Annual Pancake Jubilee fundraiser preview

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK)- Members of the Downtown Optimist Club of Meridian are launching another year of their long-running tradition.

The Pancake Jubilee fundraiser has been around for 72 years with one big goal, and that's to raise funds for the community to support our youth. This year's Pancake Jubilee is back for their 73rd year. The event will be held Tuesday, February 25 at the Temple Theatre. Tickets are $5 if you purchase them before the event and $6 at the door for all-you-can-eat pancakes.

"It's all you can eat pancakes and sausages, It's not like two pancakes and one sausage. Come hungry and there's plenty to eat. A lot of folks get-go containers and some people eat in. We will be serving from 6:30 in the morning until 7 that night. We are hoping and praying for good weather. Generally, good weather is a good way to get a big crowd out there," says board member Dan Derrington.

20 plus organizations will benefit from the Pancake Jubilee Fundraiser by the Downtown Optimist club including the Junior Golf Program and Crestwood t-ball.
