Happy Thursday! We are well over 10 degrees warmer this morning than compared to yesterday morning and thus all of us are waking up to temperatures above freezing. Radar is picking up on some light rain in parts of our area this morning; however, almost all of this should not make it to ground thanks to dry air in the low-levels of the atmosphere. If it does make it to the ground, it will be in the form of drizzle. Despite the warmer start to our Thursday, overcast skies will prevent temperatures from warming all that much. Highs today will generally be in the upper-40s, but some of us may crack the 50 degree mark this afternoon.
A disturbance will move across the northern Gulf of Mexico today, and this could bring a few showers to our area this afternoon and evening. The showers and cloud cover will depart our area by early-Friday morning, leading to mostly sunny skies for our day on Friday. Morning lows will drop below freezing for most of us Saturday morning. High temperatures will slowly warm through the weekend, with highs returning to the upper-50s by Saturday and then the 60s by Sunday.
We look to remain dry and sunny this weekend. A weak disturbance will quickly push through our area on Monday and could bring with it a stray shower to our area. It will also bring a little more cloud cover for Monday than compared to what we'll see this weekend. Highs will be in the mid-60s Tuesday and Wednesday with lots of sunshine expected for both days. Morning lows will be around the 40 degree mark Monday through Wednesday.
