MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WBRC) - The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has turned over its findings about why a former state trooper shot a district attorney in Demopolis last year. It's now in the hands of the attorney general's office.
Greg Griggers suffered injuries when he was grazed by a bullet as he sat in his car.
Former trooper, Steve Smith was then killed by law enforcement.
Griggers says the shooting is going to be related to a mental health issue Smith had and was nothing to do with the D.A. specifically.
The attorney general's office is not commenting until it has finished reviewing all the information.
