SELMA, Ala. (WTOK) - Trooper Class 2019-B graduated Tuesday at ALEA’s Alabama Criminal Justice Training Center, in Selma. During commencement, Rep. Wes Allen, R-Ala. 89th District, addressed the class, as well as those gathered to celebrate the new troopers’ accomplishments.

The full 22-week training school accommodated 24 members who were not certified already with the Alabama Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission.

Allen then focused on three key qualities of a good leader: high expectations for oneself and others, courage and a servant’s heart.

“Never underestimate the impact you can make on others,” he said.
