Anderson Regional hosts Business After Hours
Anderson Regional Medical Center hosted a "Business After Hours" Tuesday in order to bring awareness and show the importance of minimally invasive robotic surgery.
The North lobby was packed with medical professionals and employees as the hospital had robotic surgery instruments on display and available to try out. The goal was to bring awareness to robotic surgery and how beneficial it is in the industry today.
"Minimally invasive surgery has been around since the 1990s. The technology is always developing, and we want to make sure that we're keeping up with the latest techniques- utilizing that technology in a way that benefits patients. And even in a town relatively smaller-sized like Meridian, we feel like we can bring that here." Dr. Hans Tulip says.
Some benefits of minimally invasive robotic surgery are less pain, reduced scarring and an even shorter hospital stay.
