MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - It was back to school at Meridian Community College today after the long holiday break.

Traditional students taking their first day of classes on campus of the 2019 Spring semester. Those students have until the end of this week to register for classes while non-traditional students taking on-line courses still have a couple of more weeks to get signed for for spring.

"Our on-line classes, that term will begin on January 22nd so students still have two weeks to register for those classes," said Vice-President of Operations Soraya Welden. "The students who may be waiting for transcripts or trying to make that final decision about whether they should attend or what they need to take, you still got a little bit of time to meet with your adviser and make that schedule for spring."

MCC has over 2500 students enrolled for the Spring semester.
