CRASE Training at Neighborhood Watch Group Meeting

Meridian, Miss. (WTOK) - The Druid Hills Neighborhood Watch Group met Thursday night to discuss what to do in case of an active shooter.

Meridian Police officer Erica Harmon conducted the civilian response to active shooter events or "C-R-A-S-E training" at the meeting. The training helps people learn what to do in the event of an active shooter. Lieutenant Rita Jack, the Meridian Police Department, says it’s not just important for neighborhood watch groups to get this training but for everyone else too.

"We encourage every group. Every agency to get this training because it truly helps you understand what to do to be prepared for an active shooter event and how to survive an active shooter event,” says Lieutenant Jack.
