About 20 inmates took part in the second annual "Christmas with My Dad" program at EMCF as a reward for completing certain programs and being on good behavior.
"We work with these gentlemen every single day, and we know their lives inside and out," said Becky Turcotte, the program director for EMCF. "For us to see them to work very hard and stay clean and do what they're supposed to be doing, it really gives us that satisfaction that we're really helping them in being bionic as Management and Training Corporation asks us to do."
"They don't have any RVR's, which is rules violations reports," said Ray Rice, the deputy director of programs. "We try to have them come together with their children especially at this time of the year which is amazing, do a lot of games all day in there."
EMCF officials say they hope many more inmates will qualify for this event in years to come.
