Primary elections in Mississippi are right around the corner and absentee ballots are being issued across the state.

For people who will not be in town or are unable to vote on Election Day on March 10, you can fill out an absentee ballot. Circuit Clerk offices will be open throughout the state this Saturday for people who are unable to fill out an absentee ballot during the work week.

“Saturday is a catch-all date to help people that cannot come in during weekdays,” says Donna Jill Johnson, the Lauderdale County Circuit Clerk. “So again a reminder to everybody that we will be open Saturday, the 29th, 8 a.m. to 12 state-wide, for those that cannot come in to their courthouse on a normal 8-5 Monday through Friday date.”
