MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK)- After three days of cleanup efforts, there's now light at the end of the tunnel for residents in Clarke County.
The town of Enterprise had numerous trees knocked down and homes damaged from the EF-2 tornado on Wednesday night. After the devastating tornado, the community came together and volunteered their time to help clean up debris. Local businesses donated hot meals with cleanup crews being fed at Enterprise High School's cafeteria. EMA director Eddie Ivy says they are working diligently to fix rooftops, clear debris, and restore power.
“We are continuing to do damage assessments, making sure we captured all the homeowners that were affected by the storm. Our biggest thing we going on is the power that is down and the power company is working very hard to restore that power,” says EMA director Eddie Ivy
Ivy says power should be restored this weekend.
