MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - People were showing off their best cow impersonations Tuesday to take advantage of Chick-fil-A's Cow Appreciation Day promotion. Customers who dressed up as cows got a free entree.
In Meridian, people young and old dressed up to get some free food and some took pictures with the restaurant's mascot. Customers talked to us about the inspiration for their costumes.
"It feels great. The kids are happy to get some of the foods they enjoy," said customer Marjorie Hall.
"Chick-fil-A is one of my favorite places to be," said customer Avery Sullivan. "About the shirt, we had to dump paint on a shirt using a sponge."
And one person also brought a real cow later to the restaurant later in the day to celebrate.
