Children at Enterprise Middle School had an exciting start to their day Wednesday morning.

An unexpected visitor plowed its way through the halls. Many students jumped back and out of the way of the speeding creature as it exited one hallway and entered another. The deer could be seen slipping and sliding on surveillance footage. Enterprise Principal Marlon Brannon says this the first time he seen anything like this.

"Because the students are going in and out, the doors are open that time of morning. I think it got startled by some kids and it tried to escape and found that the easiest way," Brannon says.

"It was pretty hilarious to see how the students responded and the funny expressions on people's faces. I've been the principal at this school for 10 years and it's never happened before," Enterprise Elementary School Principal Steven Gunn says.

Gunn says children and staff were talking about the incident all day long. There was no damage done to the campus.

"I jokingly said, 'we even have wild animals trying enroll here just because our school district is so good," Brannon says.

No children were injured and no damage was found. The deer was last seen running into the woods very fast.
