EF-2 tornado struck Meridian one year ago

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - One year ago Sunday a tornado touched down in Meridian causing some major damage.

The EF-2 tornado swept through town knocking down trees and blowing roofs off of homes. The storm knocked off power and several buildings were effected. The Grandview area was hit especially hard. One employee at the Grandview Gas station caught the storm on camera and reflects on the anniversary.

Last year, no door opened. It was too difficult. I held the door down and took a video. Last night, I’m happy it didn't come back," Ajay Chaudhary says.

The employee says although the tornado happened a year ago, he still recalls the storm clearly.
