MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Linda Alford fought back tears as she told Newscenter 11 about the murder of her son.
"You took my son's life away from him for nothing," said Alford. "I pray to God whoever you are you get what you deserve."
Alford's son, 26-year old Johnny Cullins was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting at a Meridian convenience store last Friday.
Alford said her son wasn't the target and was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
"His friend came back from the gas station... my son wasn't with him," said Alford. "He had told me that my son had got shot at the gas station."
Police say the shooter fired multiple shots at the convenience store.
"This is the hardest thing in the world for me to deal with," said Alford. "This is the second child... I had a 16-year old that was shot and murdered."
Cullins' family obviously wasn't expecting this to happen and says they're struggling to pay for funeral expenses.
The family has set up a Go-Fund-Me account and a Trustmark Bank account.
To donate on Go-Fund-Me, search "Johnny Ray Cullins" on the site and find organizer Ramon Alford.
People can donate to the Trustmark account by mentioning Linda F. Alford or Dianne A. Brown. The account number is 870 025 473 0.
