Family thanks law enforcement, requests privacy
The family of Heather Robinson released a statement Tuesday as authorities continue the search for her suspected killer.
Robinson was found dead at her home in Rankin County by sheriff's deputies performing a requested welfare check. Her white 2012 GMC Arcadia SUV was missing.
Authorities are looking for the vehicle and Robinson's boyfriend, Alex Deaton, the suspect in her death.
The family said in a statement that words cannot express its sorrow and pain at the tragic loss. The statement noted Heather's enjoyment of working in the medical field after earning a B.S. degree in nursing and described her as hard-working, determined and someone who respected others.
The family requested privacy as it grieves and lays Heather to rest.
It also provided some additional photos of Deaton that may be helpful in his apprehension.
Law enforcement has described Deaton as armed and dangerous. If you see him or have knowledge of his whereabouts, call 911.
