Fetal heartbeat bill heads to governor

Mississippi Senate Bill 2116, prohibiting abortions after a fetal heartbeat has been detected, is on its way to Gov. Phil Bryant.
The bill was passed by the Senate on a 35-15 vote Tuesday. It previously passed the House.
Bryant has said he would sign the bill.
The bill does allow an exemption for cases of medical emergencies.
