Flood warnings issued for more river flooding

Many rivers are above flood stage, and flood warnings have been issued. Most rivers will crest this weekend or early next week. The exception is the Tombigbee River at Coffeeville. These forecasts may change with another 2-7 inches of rain next week.

A Flood Warning is in effect for....

THE PEARL RIVER AT BURNSIDE NEAR PHILADELPHIA
On Friday evening, the river level was reported at 13.01 feet. Flood stage is 13.0 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. The river level is expected to crest near 13.5 feet on Saturday, then the river will subside to below flood stage by Sunday.

THE CHICKASAWHAY RIVER AT ENTERPRISE
On Friday evening, the river level was reported at 28.31 feet. Flood stage is 25.0 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. Moderate flooding is forecast to begin by Saturday morning, and the river will crest near 30.5 feet, then the river will subside to below flood stage by Tuesday.

THE SUCARNOOCHEE RIVER AT LIVINGSTON
On Friday evening, the river level was reported at 20.52 feet. Flood stage is 18.0 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. The river is forecast to crest near 21.3 feet on Saturday, then the river will subside below flood stage Monday morning.

THE TOMBIGBEE RIVER AT DEMOPOLIS
On Friday evening, the river level was reported at 69.99 feet. Flood stage is 68.0 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. The river is forecast to crest near 75.8 feet late Sunday or early Monday. The river is expected to stay above flood stage through the end of the forecast period Wednesday.

THE TOMBIGBEE RIVER NEAR COFFEEVILLE
On Friday evening, the river level was reported at 30.09 feet. Flood stage is 29.0 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. The river is expected to rise steadily to 36.6 feet on Wednesday. The crest may not happen until late next week with no end to the flooding in the current forecast period, which ends Wednesday.

THE TOMBIGBEE RIVER AT GAINESVILLE
On Friday evening, the river level was reported at 103.46 feet. Flood stage is 101.0 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. The river is forecast to crest near 103.7 feet on Saturday, then the river will subside to below flood stage by Monday morning.

THE TOMBIGBEE RIVER AT BEVILL
On Friday evening, the river level was reported at 126.39 feet. Flood stage is 122.0 feet. Minor flooding is occurring. The river has crested and is subsiding. It is expected to subside to below flood stage on Sunday.
