Happy Friday! We’ll see partly cloudy skies for our Friday with highs climbing into the mid-to-upper-50s across the area. The increase in cloud cover today is associated with a developing low-pressure system that is set to move across the country over the next couple of days.
We should stay dry overnight, with showers arriving by Saturday morning after sunrise. Heavy rainfall is not expected with this system, and we should see less than a half an inch of rain by Sunday morning, which is when the storm system will exit the area.
Cooler air will be in its wake, with highs only in the low-50s on Sunday, and then the upper-40s by Monday. Abundant sunshine returns by Tuesday and a warm-up will begin as well. We’ll be back into the low-60s by Thursday. Clouds look to increase once again by then as the next storm system develops to the west. Some models are indicating that showers with this system may start as early as Thursday night, so rain chances may have to be added in at a later date, but I’ll see how this plays out over the next several days.
