Happy Friday! We are off to the coolest start we’ve seen this week, with temperatures having fallen into the 50s area-wide. Once that sun rises, temperatures will warm-up quite quickly, aided by the return of southerly flow thanks to an area of high pressure shifting to the east of our area. We look to make it around the 90 degree mark this afternoon while being a touch more humid than compared to recently. However, it will still be comfortable outside considering the time of year.
We’ll see mostly clear skies tonight with morning lows on Saturday in the mid-to-upper-60s, which is right where we should be for this time of year. The increase of the humidity factor will certainly be felt on Saturday as dew points rise into the upper-60s. There will be a chance of a pop-up shower or storm on Saturday, mainly south of I-20/Hwy-80. Otherwise we look to see partly cloudy skies with highs in the low-to-mid-90s.
It will be even warmer heading into Sunday, and that is when we’ll see a chance of a pop-up shower or storm area-wide. With highs in the mid-90s for most of our area, it will be the warmest day of the next seven. We’ll continue to see pop-up storm chances on Monday, with rain chances increasing a bit for Tuesday and Wednesday (isolated storms). By Thursday, storm chances will go back down to the pop-up variety though it will still be hot and humid. Highs for the next work-week will be generally in the low-90s with morning lows in the low-70s.
