Showers and some storms have rumbled through our area this morning and early afternoon. We will watch for several more rounds of rain and storms as we head through the weekend. Just like yesterday and today, each day won't be a washout, but rain and storms will move through in waves.
The next wave will likely be tonight with some showers and perhaps a storm. After that, Saturday's evolution will determine if we get a chance at a strong to severe storm. If we can stay dry and see some sun Saturday morning, there is a better chance at seeing a strong to severe storm in the afternoon and evening hours.
Storms will then return on Sunday morning as the actual cold front arrives. This will also bring our last round of showers too with rain tapering off through the late afternoon and evening hours.
Once we dry out late Sunday, high pressure will build in with cooler temperatures to start the week as we begin below average. Temperatures will warm through the week, and right now, we look to remain dry through the upcoming week with temperatures warming back through the middle and upper 80s as we head through the week.
