Happy Friday! We’re waking up to mostly clear skies this morning with temperatures in the 60s. Patchy fog is possible in some spots; however, no widespread issues are anticipated. Pop-up storms can’t be ruled out this afternoon, but coverage won’t be nearly as widespread as we saw yesterday. Highs will make a return to the 90 degree mark this afternoon. An early storm is possible tonight, otherwise we’ll be mostly clear with lows in the mid-60s.
There will be more pop-up afternoon storm chances this weekend with highs well into the 90s thanks to a building ridge over our area. This ridge will quickly weaken on Monday as some models are picking up on a disturbance moving in from the Gulf of Mexico. This will likely give Monday the best chance of seeing thunderstorms next week, though we’ll still see isolated storms at best. Highs cool off slightly thanks to increased cloud cover on Monday and Tuesday but the 90s will return by Wednesday and Thursday.
