DESOTO, Miss. (WTOK) - It was a day full of fun at the Desoto Volunteer Fire Department in Clarke County Saturday.
The department brought the community together for a special feast.
The usual suspects, such as bouncy houses, great food and deserts were there. Volunteer firefighters also got in the dunking booth.
Chief Carl Brown says he wants the public to know how much the department works to keep them safe.
"After it picked up it was a good day. It's been a good turnout today. Everybody has been eating. The children have been enjoying themselves. Today was a good day," Brown says.
Brown says this was a way for residents to put a face with the firetrucks and responders.
