Gray, gloomy Monday, then stormy Tuesday
The next 24 hours come with a big drop in temperature. Today's high will be near 70 degrees. Tomorrow's high of 67 degrees will likely happen between midnight and 1 AM, then temperatures will drop into the 50s by the morning drive and continue dropping into the 40s for our Tuesday afternoon. A change like that usually comes with some rain, and this time is no exception.
Today will be more cloudy than anything. From those low clouds, some occasional light rain can fall. Temperatures will climb from near 60 around 7 AM to mid-to-upper 60s at noon. The clouds will hold tight, but a warm wind from the south will still give us the boost we need to hit 70 degrees in may areas. Those occasions of light rain will become more common this evening between 6 PM and 10 PM. Rain will gradually ramp up Monday night through Tuesday morning. Temperatures will be dropping fast from a high in the upper 60s just after midnight to the 50s by 6-7 AM, then to the 40s by noon. Roads will be slippery in spots for the morning drive, but there can be some dry areas, too. Rain will continue to grow more widespread and heavier through noon Tuesday. With cold 40s, rain will fall through Tuesday afternoon and evening. The rain can fall heavily at times. The rain will fade to an end after midnight Tuesday night. Temperatures will drop toward freezing by sunrise Wednesday morning, but the rain will be long gone by then.
Wednesday afternoon will become sunny, but the day will be chilly. Thursday will start sunny, but clouds will be back with some rain by late afternoon and evening. Rain will grow increasingly likely on Friday and could linger through Saturday. Sunday is the only day this week without at least a small chance for rain at some point during the day. Temperatures will fall early this week and stay down - even amid some small climbs.
