Inmate charged with trying to bring contraband into jail

KEMPER COUNTY, Miss. (WTOK) - Kemper County Sheriff James Moore says an inmate from Meridian being housed in Kemper County has been charged with trying to take meth into the jail.

Robert Lee Davis, 46, was charged with introduction of contraband.
His bond was set at $20,000.

Moore said Davis got caught with the meth as he came back into the jail from a work detail.
