Last minute Christmas shopping
In just over 30 hours, millions will be exchanging gifts to celebrate Christmas. Online shopping deadlines are here and that means Christmas Eve, Eve and Christmas Eve are some of the busiest days for retailers in our area.
We are less than two days away from Christmas and last minute shoppers are scrambling to get those perfect gifts.
"I have a few more items to get that other stores didn't have. I thought I would just rush in here,” says shopper John Smith.
"We are looking for things for my niece, she's two, so we're looking for gifts for her. My dad is interested in the virtual glasses. He wants to try those so we are looking for those,” says shopper Chelsea McKinnis.
Box stores are packed with eleventh hour shoppers. Many offering daily door busters, such as best buy.
"Check the website and check your e-mails. I know we are sending out lots of e-mails. Everyday there is something new, some different door buster,” says Manager KeeMonica Gowdy
Gowdy says one big thing last minute shoppers should focus on is money management.
"Make sure you have a budget. Make sure you stay to that budget when you come into the store,” mentions Gowdy.
Gowdy says tech gifts are perfect last minute shopping ideas.
"iPad and Apple watches. People are buying HP Sprockets, and Canon Ivys, which are the small photo printers that let you print from your phone. Those are selling a lot, along with headphones. We are selling a lot of headphones,” says Gowdy.
Many stores will also being open special hours on Christmas Eve.
