Lauderdale County residents will get a chance to help the environment this weekend. That's because the county's recycling program will resume on Saturday, June 30th. As part of it, a trailer will be set up at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center to collect items that can be recycled.

"We can take cardboard, plastics that are number one and number two plastics, tin cans, aluminum cans and newspapers," says District 5 Supervisor Kyle Rutledge. "W e don't take glass, but if you have like some old computer equipment or something like that that can't fit in your blue can, we can take that and dispose of it also."

Recycled items will be accepted at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center from 9 AM until 1 PM on Saturday. The county's recycling site is set up at that same location and time on the last Saturday of each month.
