MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK)- Two Elementary school choir groups got an opportunity to sing their hearts out as they took the stage at the Mississippi's Arts and Entertainment Experience Thursday.
The MAX hosted its monthly Brown Bag Lunch Concert for the youth. Purvis Elementary and Crestwood Elementary School Chorus performed songs written by Mississippi musicians. Nearly 200 students filled The MAX.
"It's just away for the community to come and experience live music and we're so excited to have all kinds of performers on in. We also have a group that comes in monthly. It's an opportunity to see exactly what we have to offer in our great state of Mississippi," says staff & volunteer manager Laura Hester.
The two choir groups performed in front of nearly 50 people - their largest crowd yet.
