The Reflections of Life Association hosted a luncheon at Rush Hospital to empower the youth in the community. This luncheon is meant to build stronger bonds with fathers and sons by educating them about what a male role model looks like.

One organizer gives advice on how to build a stronger bonds with your son.

"Spending quality time with them, being involved in anything they enjoy doing," said Jonathan Brown. "Listening to what they have to tell you, and letting them know you are there for them while still being their provider and their listener."

"Fathers play a very important role with our children," said Michelle Dunn. "They put a different spin on how our children are raised. Our community needs strong male role models."

Pastor Willie Ray Clark was the guest speaker. The next event will be held in the next two weeks.
