JACKSON, Miss. (WTOK) - The Mississippi Manufacturers Association Board of Directors voted unanimously to endorse Republican Michael Guest in his campaign to represent the state's 3rd congressional district.
MMA made the announcement Tuesday at its board meeting at the Pearl River Resort in Philadelphia.
MMA president and CEO, Jay Moon, said the organization chose Guest
because he has been an advocate for Mississippi's citizens and businesses, supporting lower taxes and fewer regulations.
Guest is running for the seat currently held by Republican Gregg Harper, who is not seeking re-election. Democrat state Rep. Michael Ted Evans and Reform Party candidate Matthew Holland are also on the Nov. 6 ballot.
