MPSD to host 'Parent University' event Tuesday
Parents are getting the chance to head back to class. Meridian Public Schools is hosting its annual Parent University Tuesday at Bonita Lakes Mall. All MPSD students and parents are invited.
The event will feature informative sessions on financial literacy, fitness and health, as well as information on several community resources.
MPSD Parent and Community Engagement Specialist Adrian Cross says the district is excited to host an event fit for the whole family.
“We’re hoping to bring out copious amounts of parents. We will have over 25 vendors, along with a financial management presentation, student performance presentations, as well as cooking demonstrations. And were also going to throw in an afro size demonstration in there as well,” says Cross.
There will also be an arts and crafts station and activities for younger children.
The event is on Tuesday, November 19th from 3 to 7 p.m. at Bonita Lakes Mall near Belk.
