MERIDIAN, Miss. ( WTOK ) - 103 candidates received degrees during MSU-Meridian’s Fall Commencement ceremony. The graduation was held at the MSU Riley Center for Performing Arts and Education in Downtown Meridian.
Tanisha Marshall was a graduate of the Professional MBA program and says it’s an honor to be a part of the first business graduating class from the Meridian campus.
“It’s been 17 years since I’ve had my undergraduate so, I’m kind of like the older, coming back to school, student but it’s ideal for the working professional and it has really made a big impact on my career and the program,” says Marshall.
“Thankfully I’m able to walk at this event. So I can finally get that specialist degree get it out of the way. Just looking forward to getting it over with and getting that degree and just going home happy”, says Aaron Lyle-Wallace, principal Philadelphia High School
Guest speaker, Archie McDonnell Jr. delivered the keynote address. McDonnell is the CEO of Citizens National Bank and received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi.
